Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays!! I love having all of my family together, and getting to relax and enjoy each others company! I have a very big family and it gets harder and harder to see everyone at the same time now that we are all get older. It seems like every year gets busier and busier, but its important to slow down and remember all of our many blessings.

I'm thankfull for... my health,my family,my job, The Little Blue House, my school, and my life!!

With the holidays just around the corner, its hard to think that our family will be missing someone very special, but I hope she is cooking some yummy food and playing skipbo, like we did on thanksgiving day.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! I hope you have a very happy thanksgiving and slow down and enjoy every single bit :)

Major Update...

Well... I must say its been a very rough month. I think all of yall know that my grandmommy went to be with the Lord a few weeks ago and so do Wesley's grandfather. I can't even explain how much I miss her! Its been really hard for me to let her go and be in heaven. Although god works in amazing ways and he is helping me through this and I have a feeling she is too.
GOOD NEWS...
So even though its been a bit crazy with school, work, and everything else, I have found some time to make a few projects. I will deff get a picture of them on my next post.
All the projects that I will share with you on my blog will be affordable, simple, and easily stored. I'm a college student who can't spend alot of time, money,or space on fun crafts right now in life... so I want to give yall ideas that will be good for your office/desk,appartment,or maybe kids room or dorm.

LITTLE BLUE HOUSE GOSSIP :)
I'm so excited for this weekends CREATIVE CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE!!!! The christmas classes are sooo AWESOME!!! The designers have done an amazing job (like always) on these projects!! Wanna come see for yourself this weekend Nov 12-13th 10-5pm. Don't miss out!! :)

You CAN make a DIFFERENCE!

Something has really been on my heart this past week, so I decided to share with ya'll about it and hope ya'll share with your friends too! I have been back and fourth from a hospital in Dallas with my boyfriend,Wesley and his family. His PAPA is fighting a battle against cancer and have been fighting this battle for serval years now. He such a hardworking, loving,Christian man, who has been a great role model for the family. He very strong and has been holding on tight this few days.I believe God knows when his day will come and whatever day that is, will be the day that he will win that battle against cancer and live in no pain.

Going through this time has really made me think about all my family that I have a lost by cancer, those who are still struggling with it and good friends that recently found out they have cancer at my age. Living through all of this has made me want to give back to all these people that struggle each day and the families as well. There are lots of great organizations out there that everyone can get involved to help.

Something that my family is involved in is The Light the Night Walk for
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Its a great way to honor your love ones who have passed from Leukemia or Lymphoma. Its a huge night walk in Downtown Fort Worth that helps raises money to go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My Dad was the first to get involved in Light the Nigh Walk. He walked for his best friend in high school who passed away with Leukemia. Almost 2 years ago my grandfather, Poppy passed away with Lymphoma, now my stepmom and family all walk for my Poppy. Not to long away my brothers best friend since the 4th grade found out he had Lymphoma, today is Cancer-Free at the age of 21. I encourage you to check the website out: http://www.lightthenight.org. Light the Night is just one of the many organizations out there. Make a difference and get involved! :)

The Start of Something New!

This is my blog!:) I have always been inspired by the work that i see on my mother's blog and blogger friends. I have decided to start up my own and see how it goes! My name is Kristyn, im a 19 year college student studying to get my degree in family studies/occuptional therapy. I have always loved doing crafts with my mom as a kid, watching my mom get in to paper crafting I thought she was crazy!! Now she has me hooked on all the fun things she does. I have always been inspired by her and all her creations. I have worked at a paper crafting store for about a year and now working for Create Joy Workshops @ The Little Blue House owned by my mother. Hope you all enjoy my blog!
