Its All About The Little Blue House

Hi Friends!!!

Well today is a very Special blog post for me and my LBH peeps! We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary of The Little Blue House!! :) It brings me so much joy to know that we have been open for a year now! It went by so fast!!! I have enjoy working at the LBH so much! Its a pleasure to work with my mom Tracy,Susan,Elaine and Rhonda everyday! We work so well together and have so much fun along the way! I can't get enough of all the wonderful customer we have at the LBH. Not only are they customers but they're our friends! We have created a "Blue House Bond" with everyone and its so wonderful to see their smiling faces everytime they come in to the house! :) I want to thank everyone who has shopped,cropped,or created at The Little Blue House over the past year. We love you all and hope you will join us for another year and many more to come at The Little Blue House! :)

Summer Ends.. will Fall ever begin??

So summer is almost over... all the kids are back to school ( I still have 1 more week) I love this time of year... but I wish the weather would cool off and Fall would begin... This is about the time I start getting excited about school,fall, and especially upcoming holiday season! We are getting prepared for the upcoming season at the LBH! We have been busy with lots of new collections arriving everyday! Fancy Pants, Graphic 45, Basic Grey,Echo Park, and more!!

Hooked on Retreats :)

Hi Everyone!I feel like I have lost track of this blogging thing! This summer has been so busy for me! Its finally settling down a little bit and the sad thing is its a lot over :( I feel so refreshed for the stress of life and I think it because of my LBH Retreat that I just finished up. It was Monday-Wednesday up the road in Roanoke. I had never done a retreat before and it was such a blast! All of the LBH girls were there...we had some many great laughs, new lingo, and memories to share. The house was the most beautiful house and I love Roanoke and all their yummy food and the environment is lovely.It was such a good time for all us to relax and enjoy creating with friends and remember why we love what we do so much! We had meetings about what is to come for the upcoming holidays and I can't wait! I'm so blessed to have such a great LBH family and the best mom/boss ever!! :)

The Cottage is over 100 years old and is filled with charming character (the kind you don't see much of anymore). Mary, the owner, has done an outstanding job of making us feel so welcome and right at home! Its in Roanoke (10 mins up the road from the LBH) but I felt like I was still "away" from home.

We opted to bring our own food but Mary will feed you some yummy meals if you prefer that option. The Cottage is located right in the heart of the up & coming Old Town district of Roanoke and there are several great restaurants all within walking distance (such as Babe's, Twisted Root, Mi Familia, Tortilla Flats, and even a German Restaurant)...and lots of unique boutiques, book store/coffee shop called the Book Carriage ( my favorite store to go in!!), candy store, etc. if you're in the mood for that kind of thing!

The Bedrooms all have twin beds and your own little personal basket filled with fluffy towel/cloth and ...hee hee...ear plugs! Just in case somebody in the group happens to snore(Oh,Susan!)There is even a massage table set up upstairs for anyone that wants to set up an appt. for a massage in the midst of all that major crafting and scrapping that you will be doing during your stay here. We didn't spend too much time sleeping :) It was all about catching up on some old 70s jams and creating till we could create anymore :)

So If anyone is looking for a great place to retreat off to Oak Street Cottage is the place to go! Plus all Retreaters get 15% off their product at the LBH during their retreat time. :)

Junior Scrappers @ the LBH
Looking for a creative outlet for the kiddos this Summer??
Consider signing them up for our Junior Scrappers classes! This workshop will include 4 sessions beginning Friday, July 1st. The kiddos will be creating a Summer Minibook designed by Miss Kristyn Curry. Each page will feature a specific technique, so that your kiddos are having fun and learning at the same time! The book includes ten 7x5 in. page protectors. If then come to all 4 sessions, there will be complete and ready for their summer photos!


Here are the dates & times:

Fri. 7/29 10a-Noon
Fri. 8/12 10a-Noon
EACH session is $10 per child.

Hello June-

Hey Ya'll :)

I havent updated my blog in awhile, I have been sooo busy lately with school and work and just life in general. I feel like I totally missed spring.. its went so fast and now the Texas heat is back so soon! Well anyways... LBH has been super busy with all the new Summer Projects out, Great American Scrapbooking Convention last weekend (which was Awesome) and Front Porch Kits- June release "One Sunny Day"! Tons of fun and lots of work so Im so glad everything has gone so well for us this last month. We have the best team, customers, and families/friends in the world...without everyone it would not have gone so great! I'm so excited to see new faces at the Little Blue House... GASC really helped get our name out there more and it was great seeing people that we have seen in the past that are just finding where we are at. Ohh.. how I love love love my job! :) So here is a picture of our June kit "One Sunny Day"- its super cute!! :)

I will be teaching a Junior Scrapper Workshop this summer. Im very excited about it! It will be every other Friday morning starting June 17th. Our project of the summer is a super cute mini book called "Summer Days" how the class works is we will be working on pages of the book everytime you come to class so by the end of the summer your book will be finished! :) Every page be using a fun tool or tech. so you will be learning something new every time you come while making a super cute book! :) I hope your kids or if you are a kid will sign up! Im looking forward to the class! :) Its $10 a session and ages are 8ish-14ish.

I'm so excited summer is just around the corner! I can't wait to show you our super cute projects for summer which will include basic summer, Americana, and a big surprise at our Open House on May 20th- 21st (Friday- Saturday)Come check out our layouts, mini books, mini albums, home decor and more! We will also have lots of new product lines including Echo Park, Fancy Pants, My Minds Eye, We R Memory Keepers,Lilly Bee and so much more!! :) I hope everyone can make it to our open house we will have a free make and take as well as food,prizes, and fun!! :) Come join the party!!! You will be surprised with what you see!!! :) So anyone ever heard of Great American Scrapbooking Convention??? just a few of you right!!! ha ha just kidding its like the greatest weekend in Scrapbooking!! I really love this new paper collection from We R Memory Keepers called Fiesta! It could be for Cinco de Mayo/ Birthday Party! I love the southwest color scheme it would be great to use for scrapping a trip to Mexico or even San Antionio, also if you had a spanish party theme! I love this line! Happy Friday Everyone!!

I hope everyone had a great week and get to enjoy the weekend! :) Last night Live with Prima was AWESOME!! We had so much fun at The Little Blue House! We had a Teal Texas Prima Party! Thank you so much to Daniella Dobson and Lolly Chops for making the night so much fun and also to all of the ladies that came it was so much fun to see everyone in teal and cowboy hats! We had a great group of girls @ the class last night! Everyones cards came out so beautiful! :) If you wanna check out the video of last night show you can do that we recorded the show for you!! :)

I hope yall are enjoying the lovely Spring weather... we have had some beautiful days in Keller, TX lately! :) We have bluebonnets blooming in the LBH background.. its so pretty! I just love Springtime!

So, Im here to update you on some upcoming events and some new collections at the LBH!!

Live with Prima @ The Little Blue House!!

The Prima live show we be coming to you from The Little Blue House TONIGHT at 8:30pm, Texas Time :) Daniella Dobson and Lolly Chops (Chessie) will be showing off some beautiful Prima cards! These cards are also a class that we are offer at the LBH, so if you are interested in taking a class with us tomorrow is sold out but April 20th 6:30-8:30pm still has some seats open! New Product Out This Week!!

1.Little Yellow Bicycle- Elizabeth Park

I found this card on LYB site and its very cute and gives you a peak at some of the papers and embellishments they have! I love the colors in this line.. some fun bright colors with the grays mixed in. Little Yellow Bicycle has great paper but i really love all the embellishments that they have. The flower on this card is a part of a flower making kit. It has instruction on how to make the flowers and everything is cut and ready for you to work on.. one of my favorite new things I saw with this line! Come check it out! :)

2. Jillibean Soup- Dutch Mustard Soup

Jillibean Soup is also at the LBH! This line is very fun and fresh.. Orange,Green,Mustard Yellow and Brown.. fun for boys not just a girly spring... I can see a lot of cute layouts with my nephew Kaden with this collection. Here is a pic of the 6x6 paperpad, gives you a peak at some of the papers included in this line. Come check out all the fun embellishments that go with it to at the LBH! :)

3. Echo Park : Playground **my favorite :)

Echo park has done it again for me... i love this new line playground! The colors are so bright and fun the papers have swings and slides, games and more! It's such a great line for boys and girls too!! :) This picture shows you the collection pack which is all the papers and sticker sheets in the collection... I think these are really nice to purchase especially when you know you want atleast one of every paper in the collection since its so darn cute!! Come pick some up at the The Little Blue House today!! :)

4. Fancy Pants - It's the Little Things

This is a layout for our LBH Front Porch kits Designer Jing-Jing Nickle using mostly Fancy Pants new line. The paper in this line our so pretty! We used a lot of this collection in our March kit of the month! We all fell in love with this collection at CHA! So glad that we have it in the LBH now!! Come check it out :)

Spring Open House (March 11 & 12th)
The girls have done it again... All the projects are so beautiful.. Im so happy to see all the fun bright colors for spring! Front Porch Kits (March 18th)

LBH is releasing Front Porch Kits on March 18th 2011! The kit is going to be FULL of awesome stuff!!! Im so EXCITED about this yall!! I know everyone will be pleased! Since its our first releases we are going to have a LIVE webcast from the LBH that night and show you all the fablous things that are in the kit and some fun ideas to do when you get yours. We will be launching are website : www.frontporchkits.com , you should check it out now its already up and ready. You can pre-order your kit if you would like to. We have an awesome group of ladies that will be creating a very fun gallery of ideas for your kits. I might be helping with a few of them.. i dont know yet.. :/ but I really encourage everyone to check it out and watch our LIVE show on Friday March 18th!!
